Leslie Cornell Building Restoration Ltd were engaged to undertake sympathetic restoration works to this picturesque 17th Century Grade II Listed Cob Cottage in Cornwall.
Before our restoration works could commence, we were requested (by Cornwall Council) to provide Lime pointing sample panels to enable the conditions to be met for Listed Building Consent approval.
This project first saw us removing the existing claddings with non-power tools, so as not to disturb the historic fabric of the building and remove the existing paint applications to the faces of the stonework.
This was followed by the introduction of Lime render applications to the high-level cob and Lime pointing applications to the low-level stonework.
