Built of Cob, this cottage Restoration in Cornwall saw us remove the cement render off the existing cob, clean the existing stonework by removing the layers of non-breathable paint and ensure an adequate drainage system was is in place.
The stonework to the gable and low level on the cob extension, having been cleaned, had been Lime pointed using a lime mortar to match the old Cornish lime pointing colour.
We introduced a 3-coat lime application to the cob and the low level stone plinth was pointed to match the newly introduced Lime pointing on the gable.
