Damp limitation was priority for this property so drainage was established, vegetation removed and the newly introduced cement pointing was removed by hand. The roof was replaced and the water run system implemented.
The common binder for the stonework on this property was, in part, earth. Care was taken to remove the old lime and cement.
A blended sand and NHL Lime mortar was re-introduced to re-point this farmhouse with great results.
