We, Leslie Cornell Building Restoration Ltd, were engaged to undertake restoration works on this beautiful Grade II Listed Georgian terraced cottage that overlooks the picturesque Port of Charlestown in Cornwall.
Our restoration works are not quite complete on this delightful cob cottage in Cornwall, but our works to date include:
Lime Pointing and Lime Rendering in Charlestown
Following the removal of the existing cementitious render, we introduced a Lime render application to the high-level cob and a Lime pointing application to the low-level stonework.
Boundary and Garden Stone Wall Repairs in Charlestown
After removing the cementitious render application on the Boundary Wall, we then introduced a Lime pointing application to the wall and formed a new roof head.
Following the removal of earth and sections of the bowing Garden Stone Wall, we re-enforced the wall and re-built it using existing stone and a Natural Lime/sand mortar. This was completed with the introduction of a Lime Pointing application.
We have also undertaken brick cleaning, installation of a French Drain and installation of reclaimed Cast Iron Goods.
Our Works at this property are still ongoing, and more details will be added to our Portfolio page when the works are complete.
