This Granite-built property was suffering from damp problems.
Leslie Cornell Building Restoration Ltd undertook an assessment of the property and identified that there were failings in the chimney stack. On instruction from the Client, we re-flaunched the top of the chimney, Lime re-pointed the entire chimney stack, replaced existing failed cowls and introduce a lead flashing channel to the front face of the chimney stack.

Leslie Cornell Building Restoration Ltd were engaged to undertake sympathetic internal restoration works at an historic property in Cornwall.
Using an appropriate Lime/sand mortar, we introduced internal Lime Repointing applications and Lime Plastering application to areas of the property

Lime Rendering and Breathable Paint Fowey

This historic building in Cornwall was suffering from damp problems to the Front Elevation.
The damp problems were mainly due to cement-based render applications which was hindering the breathability of the building.
We removed the existing render and introduced a 3-coat Lime Render application and, following the appropriate drying times, finished the process with a 4-stage Breathable Paint System.
