Linden Homes contacted us, Leslie Cornell Cob and Lime Specialists to repair a listed cob wall in Grampound, Truro, Cornwall. In addition, we applied a 3-coat Lime plaster to the external walls on two elevations of this cob building.

This Historic Building set in the centre of The Tannery in Grampound was a sympathetic cob repair and re-application of breathable Lime renders.

As with all of our projects we try to keep some of the original features of the property and this was very apparent with this one.

We revealed the lintels on all windows and doors and met the Lime render to the existing re-pointed stonework and exposed areas of brick.

Although areas of this project were transformed to change its use to offices we were satisfied the external Lime based applications were aesthetically pleasing and conformed to the specification provided by Linden Homes and Cornwall Council.
