As you will have read in our previous blog, Listed Building Restoration Cornwall (Part 1), we are currently Principal Contractors undertaking historic building restoration works to this Grade II Listed 17th Century dwelling in Cornwall.
Our, Leslie Cornell Building Restoration Ltd, works are progressing well and we have now completed the following historic restorations:
- Lime Pointing to external walls and chimneys
These works included the construction of a hand-made interlocking square Slate Chimney Pot and Slate Capping.
- Roofing
The original roof structure was in a state of disrepair, so a new roof structure was designed and is now being executed.
One of the conditions of the Listed Building Consent Approval was to re-use the existing roof slates, where possible. This is currently being undertaken on the completed sections of the new roof structure.
Our Phase 1 Works are almost finished, and we will bring you more updates when this phase of the project is complete.
