Lime Rendering Cob Bodmin
This part Cob, part Stone-built cottage just outside Bodmin required the team to remove all impermeable claddings from the Cob and introduce a 3 coat Lime Render in Bodmin.
On removal of the existing claddings, the team established small pockets in the Cob which were built up using Cob bricks and a Lime mortar. This was followed with the introduction of a 3-coat Lime Render.

Lime Mortar Pointing Tintagel
Working closely with the Principle Contractor on this Project the team were able to complete works on budget and on time.
Due to the Chapel being in use, Site Safety conditions were paramount and disruption, noise and dust kept to a minimum.
The blend of mortar was chosen and the team set about removing the cementitious and failed lime pointing and re-introduced the new mortar.

Royal Cornwall Show 2017
2017 was another successful year at The Royal Cornwall Show. Winning Best Trade Stand in Countryside Area for the forth year running was a real privilege.
Our efforts in promoting Sustainable Building throughout the county to young and old provides LCBR with great pride.
The team met some wonderful people over the 3 days and helped educate the benefits of Cob and Lime Applications.

Lime Plastering St Austell
Previous Clients gave us instruction to proceed with Internal Plastering in St Austell, keeping the brick detail of the fireplace as a feature.
On completion of the base coats, a flat finish coat lime plaster was applied.
The detailing around the fireplace had minor repairs and Brick replacements and was pointed using a lime and sand mortar.

Cob Builder Truro Cornwall
The quaint part cob and stone built cottage in Truro required internal and external cob repairs and lime applications.
Our clients requested a doorway to be opened up in one of the internal cob walls and exiting porch to be removed, as well as natural slate cills to be installed inside and out. In addition, our proposal included a section of land drainage to assist with limiting the moisture in one of the walls.
Having removed all Cementitious materials from the internal and external elevations we set about introducing a 3 coat Lime Render and Plaster in Truro onto the Cob Walls.
Following the completion of the lime applications, a Breathable Mineral Paint System was used which required a colour match. With assistance from Cornish Lime our Clients were very pleased with the end results and workmanship we provided.

Lime Plastering Helston
Due to water ingression from a neighbouring property the lath and plaster ceiling in Helston had to be removed and replaced like for like. Oak Riven laths were used for a traditional application.
A scaffolding platform was erected inside the living space to ensure we had a safe working platform.
Once all lime applications were completed, a 3-Stage Mineral Paint System was used to ensure continued breathability.

Lime Bag Rub Camborne
Leslie Cornell Building Restoration Ltd were engaged to remove all cementitious cladding from 3 elevations of this farmhouse in Camborne.
The wonderful granite quoins were cleaned and kept on show and then a one coat Lime Bag Rub was applied.
After drying times, the team used a breathable mineral paint system providing self-cleaning and 25 years guarantee by its manufactures.

Lime Builders Liskeard
This charming Cottage just outside Liskeard required Internal Lime Plastering.
The team introduced a 3 coat Lime Plaster application and a breathable Mineral Paint was applied.

Lime Pointing Redruth
These two Granite Built Terraced houses in Redruth suffered from low level damp.
The existing cement pointing had failed severely in areas and the ground level was slightly higher outside than inside.
The team set about removing these impermeable claddings and started digging for a land drainage system.
A suitable Lime mortar was chosen to complement the stone and its characteristics. On completion of the Lime pointing in Redruth, a land drainage system was connected to ensure moisture full below and away from the property.
