Land Drainage Cornwall
Damp Walls in Cornwall to old and historic buildings are a combination of many factors.
This project saw the team remove a metre of cement render from the rear of the property. This part cob and stone built dwelling had internal damp problems caused by ineffective water run-off and drainage and a cement render introduced in more recent years.
This type of impermeable cladding traps water unlike a lime mortar which allows walls to breathe. After the introduction of the 3 pass lime render a land drainage system was introduced to allow water to escape the damp areas.
