Lime Rendering, Lime Pointing and Mineral Paint St Austell
This historic stone property in St Austell was affected by damp.
Leslie Cornell Building Restoration Ltd were engaged to carry out works to maintain the breathability of the walls.
The project began with the careful removal of the existing cement-based render and the raking out of mortar from the stonework joints.
To ensure the breathability was maintained, we introduced a 3-coat Lime render and Lime pointing application to the exposed stonework.
Once the Lime render had been given sufficient time to dry, we applied a Mineral Paint System.
We also refurbished the facias and installed new guttering and downpipes during the project.
