Breathable Lime Applications on Cob Property Feock

Before we were able to undertake any works we were instructed by our Client to follow the due process to gain Listed Building Consent. This included preparing a Heritage Design and Access Statement, and Ecological Trigger Report and Existing/Proposed Elevational Drawings. On completion of this paperwork it was submitted to Cornwall Council as part of the Listed Building Consent Application, which was subsequently approved.
The Front and Rear Elevations of this property were previously clad with non-breathable materials, causing high levels of moisture to become trapped within the Cob and Stone walls.

Our first job was to remove the non-breathable claddings to start the drying out process within the walls.
This was followed with the introduction of our 3-coat breathable Lime render application.
After allowing the appropriate drying times for the Lime render, we then introduced a breathable 3-stage Mineral Paint System to the newly introduced Lime render.
