We are a Company that believes in looking after our employees to develop and help them be the best that they can be, to maintain the high-level of workmanship that makes us the Company we are. Some of the ways we do this are:
- On site training with new members of the team from our long serving highly skilled Supervisors and experienced Labourers
- Appropriate and continued training for our staff from First Aid training through to Site Management Safety Training (SMSTS)
- Ensuring CDM Regulations are complied with on every project, regardless of size, to ensure the Health and Safety of the workforce and the surrounding environment
- Ongoing refresher training courses for all members of the team to enable them to work safely and provide quality work
- Working with Cornwall College and employing Apprentices to learn our unique traditional building methods so these can be passed on to future generations
- Providing regular Performance Review meetings for each individual of the team to not only ensure high-level workmanship and consistency throughout the Company, but to help them to build the necessary skills for their chosen career
- Daily Quality Control/Assurance procedures to ensure the Company and the team are delivering the high-quality work that is expected from us
- Ongoing Health and Safety training and meetings to ensure that the whole team, Clients and members of the public are safe during all of our projects
- Providing all of the team with appropriate uniform and the essential/required Personal Protective Equipment for the works they undertake
- Liaising with neighbours on any of our projects to ensure they are aware of the works we are undertaking and any potential disruption that may be caused to prevent any unnecessary grievances for both Clients and staff
Being an employee orientated Company we have very little staff turnover, thus ensuring all projects receive a high-quality experience.
To ensure that the high standards of the Company are being met on every project, all team members are required to provide photographic evidence of the works being undertaken on a daily basis. This enables us to provide our Clients with accurate and continual updates of the works progress. We often work on properties when our Clients are not in situ (on holiday, work away, live abroad, etc), and due to the respect we give and ongoing communications with them they trust us being on site in their absence. In these cases, we send regular updates by email and upload daily pictures to iCloud for them to see.
We take immense pride in what we do and our work ethics are illustrated in the Testimonials and Google Reviews received from our Clients.
In addition, CDM Regulations are complied with on every project, regardless of size, to ensure the Health and Safety of the workforce and the surrounding environment.
The success for Leslie and the team continues year after year:

Not content with just being ‘another construction company’ we are always searching for ways to promote the correct use and methods of Cob and Lime applications, as well as Project Managing (Principle Contractor) larger projects that require new additions but with a sympathetic approach to its natural surroundings and historic value.
Our positive and valued approach to the successful conservation of older buildings in Cornwall has seen engagement from Councils, the Eden Project, The National Trust, Insurance Companies, Private Estates, Large Construction companies and numerous Private Dwellings.
