We, Leslie Cornell Building Restoration Ltd, not only get to travel to some beautiful locations in Cornwall but feel immense pride in restoring and preserving some of Cornwall’s historic-built environment. We are truly privileged to be able to restore these wonderful historic buildings, most of which were constructed 100’s of year ago, so many future generations can enjoy them.

Not all of the historic building restoration projects we undertake are Listed, but those that are really do deserve their status.

Historic Grade II Listed Mill Restoration Cornwall

This former Grade II Listed Manorial Corn Mill, dating back to the 1600’s, was left to deteriorate after it ceased operating in 1966. Our Clients decided to purchase the mill to restore the building structure and convert it into a residential dwelling.

The conversion of this building was filmed by Grand Designs form start to finish and was aired on television in February 2021.

Historic Cob Cottage Lime Works Cornwall

This beautiful detached Historic Cob Cottage in Cornwall, formerly two coastguard cottage was undergoing full restoration works.

As Cob and Lime Specialist in Cornwall, we were engaged to undertake all necessary Lime Applications to maintain the breathability of the building and ensure its longevity.

This wonderful Georgian Farmhouse built in the mid 1800’s was suffering from damp in Cornwall and we were engaged to undertake Lime Pointing Works to maintain the breathability of the building.

This Grade II Listed mid-17th century house in Cornwall was being restored by its new owners. To improve the thermal qualities and breathability of the building our Clients engaged us to undertake our specialised plastering services to introduce and Insulating Lime Render application to the internal walls.

We were engaged to undertake full internal and external sympathetic restoration works to this charming, detached Cob and Stone Grade II Listed Cottage in Cornwall. This is an ongoing project that includes Lime Plastering, Lime Pointing, Lime Rendering, Cob Repairs, Mineral Painting and Land Drainage works and a full write up of this project will be added to our Portfolio page on its completion.
