Lime Pointing and Land Drainage Grade I Listed Church St Austell
On receipt of the Granted Faculty from the Consistory Court of the Diocese of Truro our Historic Breathability Works in Cornwall commenced.
Lime Pointing
We carefully removed the existing cement and Lime-based mortar applications to the killas stonework of the Southwest Gable Elevation and raked out the stonework joints to the required depths. Using an approved and appropriate Lime mortar, we then repointed the exposed stonework.
Land Drainage
We excavated a land drainage trench at the base of the North Elevation and installed a French Drain with associated pipes, bends, pea gravel and Terram, and finished the drainage trench with granite chippings.
