Leslie Cornell Building Restoration Ltd were engaged to restore a Grade II Listed Boundary wall in Truro.
The existing wall head protection comprised of a cement ‘capping’, which was in a poor condition, so after stabilizing the failed/failing stonework the Team constructed a treated timber wall coping framework to secure to the wall head.
This was then covered with roofing felt and a batten, to which Natural Slate was secured. A Lime mortar was then used to bed the ridge tiles on.
A Lime Bag-Rub was introduced to the Boundary Wall to enhance the stabilization and appearance of the stonework.
